Kolkata: Cyclone Bulbul may hit the coast between Sagar Island in West Bengal and Khepada in Bangladesh before midnight today. After hitting the coast, Bulbul will pass through the Sundarbans delta in the neighboring country in the north and west. The Meteorological Department at Kolkata said that its speed is expected to decrease after hitting the ground. The storm will hit a maximum speed of 110 to 120 kilometers per hour while its speed in the center will be 135 kilometers per hour.
Meteorologists said that winds were running at a speed of 80 to 90 km per hour in the coastal areas of East Midnapore, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas in West Bengal and it is likely to increase to 120 kmph on Saturday.

The Meteorological Department said that winds are running at a speed of 50 to 60 kmph in Kolkata and it is likely to be 70 kmph. The entire area is raining heavily. Till now, one death each due to rain due to Bulbul storm is expected in West Bengal and Odisha.
